┌─ FIG. 01 · AI-BUILT PERSONAL DEVICES
Build your own box.
AI-built operating systems for personal devices. Yours to keep, sandboxed by default.
Describe the device you wish existed — a family media server, a kid-safe computer, a private cloud — and DreamBox builds you the operating system to run it. Ready to flash to your Raspberry Pi, mini-PC, or USB stick.
Free during early access.
No card required.
— THE PROBLEM
Personal computing isn't personal anymore.
-
01
Pre-built feels rented.
Off-the-shelf devices come pre-decided. You get what someone else thought you'd want — plus the parts you'll never use, the telemetry you didn't agree to, and the lock-in when you outgrow it.
-
02
Custom is a month of Linux.
Building exactly what you want today means weeks of tutorials, a YAML graveyard, and a Raspberry Pi gathering dust in a drawer.
-
03
AI tools all build websites.
The current wave of AI builders ships browser tabs, not real devices. Nothing on your hardware. Nothing you can flash to a USB stick and hold in your hand.
— BLUEPRINTS
What you can build.
Examples, not the limit. If you can describe it, DreamBox can attempt it.
-
FIG. 02
Family media server
Your films, your music, your TV. Streaming you actually own.
-
FIG. 03
Kid-safe family computer
Locked down where you want, open where you don't. Audited by you, not an app store.
-
FIG. 04
Personal cloud
Photos, files, calendars on a box you own. Big Tech optional.
-
FIG. 05
Learning machine
A first computer for a kid. Only the apps you approve. Updates on your schedule.
-
FIG. 06
Single-purpose kiosk
A till. A menu. A studio display. A workshop dashboard. One job, perfectly.
-
FIG. n+1
Whatever you describe.
Boxes for things nobody else has built yet. That's the point.
— PROCEDURE
How it works.
-
01
Describe.
Tell DreamBox what you want, in plain language. A device for X. That does Y. For someone like Z. No flags, no manuals, no terminal.
> a media server for my parents — Plex, the family library, runs quietly in the living room, no popups, no Netflix logins. Pi 5.
-
02
Generate.
DreamBox assembles a personalized operating system image. It picks the packages, configures the safety, wires it together. Every build runs sandboxed and is scanned before you see it.
-
03
Flash & own.
Download the image. Flash it to your Pi, mini-PC, or USB stick. Keep it. Modify it. Pass it on. It runs on your hardware, in your home, on your terms.
— PRINCIPLES
Built so you can trust it.
-
Sandboxed by default.
Every build runs in isolation. Every output gets scanned. Snapshot and roll back if something breaks. The agent can't reach outside its box.
-
You own the image.
Portable. Exportable. No vendor lock-in. Take it anywhere. Run it on anything that fits. The thing you built is yours, not ours.
-
Runs on real hardware.
Your Pi. Your mini-PC. Your NAS. Your USB stick. Not somebody else's data centre. Not "the cloud." A thing on your shelf that you plug in.
— QUESTIONS
Reasonable questions.
-
Q.01What hardware can DreamBox actually run on?
At early-access launch: Raspberry Pi 4 and 5, x86 mini-PCs, USB sticks bootable on common laptops. NAS appliances and additional hardware will land in waves after that. Specific supported devices are listed when your spot opens.
-
Q.02Is this really for non-technical people?
Yes. If you can describe what you want, DreamBox handles the Linux. There's no terminal you have to learn, no config files you have to write. The technical part is the part DreamBox does.
If you are technical and want to dig in: the image is yours to inspect and modify.
-
Q.03Can I modify what DreamBox builds for me?
Yes. The image you get is a standard, inspectable operating system. Open it, change it, hand it to a friend, fork it, take it elsewhere. There is no lock-in.
-
Q.04Can DreamBox see what's on my device after I flash it?
No. Once flashed, the device is on your network — not ours. There is no DreamBox telemetry baked into the images. If you ever want updates or new features, you opt in.
-
Q.05Where is my data stored while DreamBox is building?
In the EU, encrypted, with a documented retention period and a one-click delete. The full data-handling story is shared when your early-access spot opens, before you ever upload anything.
-
Q.06When can I actually try it?
Early access is opening in waves. Reserve your spot below — one short message when your wave is up. No spam in between.
— RESERVE
Reserve early access.
First 1,000 reservations get included in the first wave.
